Gutter Installation and Repair in St. Augustine
Good gutters keep rain off your walls, out of your fascia and away from your foundation. We install one-piece aluminum gutters and fix the ones you already have. Before anything gets replaced, you see photos of the sagging runs, soft boards or clogged downspouts we found.

When Gutter Work Is the Right Call
Gutters fail slowly. A hanger loosens, a seam starts to drip, a downspout packs with oak leaves, and over a few rainy seasons the water finds the fascia board behind the gutter. By the time you notice peeling paint or a soft spot at the roof edge, the wood has often been wet for a long while.
Sometimes a cleaning and a few new hangers are all your home needs. Other times the runs are too small for the roof above them, or the fascia has rotted and has to come out first. We look at the whole system from the ladder, take pictures as we go, and tell you plainly which situation you are in.
Because the gutter hangs just below the shingles, we glance at the metal edging and lowest shingle row too. If something up there looks wrong, we tell you and point you to our roof repair service rather than guessing.
The Work We Do on Your Gutters
- Seamless aluminum runs
- Our gutter machine rolls each run from a coil of aluminum right at your home, cut to the exact length of the wall. With no splices along the straight sections, there are far fewer spots for water to escape. Aluminum also holds up to salt air much better than steel.
- Sizing that matches your roof
- A big, steep roof sends a lot of water to one corner during a summer downpour. We measure roof area and pitch, then recommend 5-inch or 6-inch gutters and the right number of downspouts.
- Fascia and soffit repair
- Soft or crumbling boards get swapped for fresh lumber before a new gutter goes on. Screwing new metal into decayed wood just sets up the same failure a season or two later.
- Downspouts and extensions
- We carry water well away from your foundation and flower beds, using extensions or splash blocks so sandy soil does not wash out under the eaves.
- Repairs and re-pitching
- Leaking end caps, pulled hangers and runs that hold standing water can often be fixed without a full replacement. We reseal, re-hang and adjust the slope so water actually reaches the outlet.
How to Tell Your Gutters Are Struggling
Overflow in a hard rain
Watch the roof edge during the next downpour. A curtain of water pouring past the lip usually means a blockage, a backward slope or a gutter too narrow for the roof feeding it.
Drooping or tilting runs
When a section droops in the middle or tips away from the fascia, the hangers have usually let go. Just as often, the wood behind them can no longer grip a screw.
Stains and peeling paint below
Dark streaks on the wall or flaking paint on the fascia point to a seam or corner that has been dripping for a while.
Puddles or washouts near the foundation
Water pooling at the base of the wall, or mulch and sand carried off under a downspout, means water is landing in the wrong place.
Plants growing in the gutter
Seedlings and moss mean debris has sat wet long enough to turn into soil. That extra weight keeps working on the hangers.
What Affects the Cost of Gutters
The biggest driver is how many feet of gutter your roof edge needs, followed by the state of the wood it hangs on. We set a price after measuring and looking, not from a guess on the phone. Financing is available if you would like to spread the cost out.
Total length and corners
More linear feet and more inside and outside corners mean more material and more labor.
Gutter size and downspout count
Six-inch gutters and extra downspouts cost more than standard 5-inch runs. On a large roof, though, they are often what keeps water from overflowing.
The wood behind the gutter
Decayed fascia needs new lumber before anything is hung on it, and how far the damage goes often stays hidden until the old gutter comes down. When we uncover more than we expected, you see the photos and we agree on next steps before any added work begins.
Height and access
Two-story eaves, steep slopes below the roofline and tight side yards take more setup and care.
How a Gutter Job Goes
- 1
A close look at every run
We walk the perimeter, climb to each run and photograph the trouble spots: clogs, loose hangers, soft fascia, low spots. You see the same pictures we use to write the estimate.
- 2
A clear written estimate
Gutter size, downspout count and any fascia work are listed line by line, so you know what is included before you say yes.
- 3
Install day
We take down the old gutters and swap out any rotted boards. Then we shape the new gutter on our machine right in your driveway and fasten it to sound wood. A typical job wraps up in one day, and you do not need to stay home for all of it.
- 4
Proving the flow, then tidying up
Before we pack up, a garden hose goes into the high end of each run so we can watch the water make it all the way out the downspout. The old metal leaves with us, and we sweep the beds and driveway for stray screws and trimmings. You get a last set of photos of the finished gutters.

Gutter Questions We Hear Often
Can my old gutters be repaired, or do they need to be replaced?
Often they can be repaired. If the metal is sound and the runs are sized right, new hangers, resealed seams and a corrected pitch may be all it takes. If the gutters are corroded, undersized or full of joints that keep failing, replacing them usually costs less over time. Either way, we show you what we saw so the answer makes sense.
Why one-piece gutters instead of sectional?
Sectional gutters come in short pieces joined every ten feet or so, and each joint can loosen and drip. We roll each run out on site to fit the wall it hangs on. That leaves connections only at the turns and the downspout outlets.
Do I need gutter guards?
It depends on what grows near your house. Homes under oaks and pines collect leaves, needles and moss quickly, and guards can cut down on how often you clean. If your roof has little tree cover, a cleaning once or twice a year may be enough. We will give you our honest take during the estimate.
How long have you been doing this work?
We have been in business since 1995, working on roofs and gutters for homeowners across St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, World Golf Village, Nocatee and the surrounding area.
Will you check my roof while you are up there?
Yes, as far as the ladder lets us see. Since we are working right at the eaves, we keep an eye on the edge metal and the bottom rows of shingles and snap a picture of anything that concerns us. For a top-to-bottom look at the entire roof, our roof inspections service is the better fit.
